


Time Travelers/ Ancient History (A La Carte Option)

Step back in time
Get ready for an epic adventure through time! In this exciting ancient history class, kids will journey back thousands of years to explore fascinating civilizations like Ancient Egypt, Greece, Rome, China, and more. Through hands-on projects, in character storytelling, games, and taste-testing old-world recipes, young historians will discover what life was like long ago — and how it still shapes our world today!
In this class, kids will:
Build pyramids, design Roman mosaics, and decode ancient writing
Learn about famous rulers, myths, inventions, and everyday life
Explore timelines, maps, and artifacts in a fun, age-appropriate way
Engage in creative storytelling and role-playing as ancient characters
Curriculum taught:
Oxford University Press’ World in Ancient Times, The History of the Ancient World by Susan Wise Bauer, Tasting History by Max Miller
Class expectations
*Families involved in this class will be asked to sign a code of conduct agreement so that they know there is an expectation to act responsibly during instruction at PPS.
Timeline
This class begins Sept. 1, 2025, and runs until Dec. 12, 2025. This class runs every Monday from 1130am-1220am with a class break (no school) the week of Thanksgiving for a total of 14 classes.
Price breakdown
One 50 Min. Class = $10 per student
(multiply x 14 weeks of instruction)
= $140 total for this class per 1 student for the 14-week semester
