Overview:
Art Lab is a creative, hands-on class where students experiment with a wide variety of art materials and techniques while having fun making unique projects. Each class introduces a new theme or challenge, encouraging students to explore drawing, painting, collage, air-dry clay, sculpture, painting terracotta pots, repurposing old T-shirts, along with other mixed-media crafts.
Students learn basic skills for shaping and building with air-dry clay and explore painting techniques while decorating terracotta pots with patterns, images, and creative designs. They are guided through the creative process while still having the freedom to personalize each project. Art Lab focuses on imagination, problem-solving, and building confidence as young artists try new ideas and enjoy the art-making process.
This class is playful, exploratory, and perfect for students who love to create, build, and experiment with art materials. No prior art experience is needed—just curiosity and creativity!

*Families involved in this class will be asked to sign a code of conduct agreement so that they know there is an expectation to act responsibly during instruction at PPS.
Timeline
This class begins January 13th, 2026 and runs until April 28, 2026 . This class runs every Tuesday from 1030am-1120am with a class break (no school) the week of March 23rd for a total of 14 classes.
